A traditional Tibetan Naga Vase, known as Lu Bum, prepared and consecrated at Dodrupchen Monastery in Sikkim, India, according to Himalayan Vajrayana ritual tradition.
The Lu Bum is a sacred ritual support traditionally connected with offerings to the Nāgas (Lu) and practices associated with restoring harmony between human beings, the natural environment, and the visible and invisible beings connected with a place.
Within Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Nāgas are closely associated with water, rain, fertility, the vitality of the land, and hidden natural resources.
