Materials: Wood

Blessed Vietnamese Agarwood Mala – 108 Beads, 8mm This mala is made from naturally aged Vietnamese agarwood, a material long appreciated for its quiet fragrance, natural depth, and distinctive grain. Each bead is approximately 8mm and individually hand-finished in the traditional 108-bead mala form. Every bead is engraved with the six-syllable mantra: Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ Sanskrit: ॐ मणि पद्मे हूँ Tibetan: ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུྃ། The mantra is traditionally associated with Avalokiteśvara, known in Tibetan as Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. The engraving gives each bead a quiet ritual character while preserving the natural grain and texture of the agarwood. With time and regular use, the wood may gradually become smoother and deeper in tone, while the natural fragrance becomes warmer and more subtle. Blessing In March 2026, this mala received blessing during Vajrayana ceremonies held at Dundul Raptenling Monastery in Odisha, India. The ceremonies were conducted by: Sonam Tashi Rinpoche H.H. Degyal Yangshi Rinpoche during: • Seven days of Chime Sog Thig practice • Three days of Troma Bumtsok ritual These practices are traditionally connected with longevity, purification, protection, and the accumulation of merit within the Vajrayana tradition. Natural Agarwood The mala is made from naturally formed Vietnamese trầm già. No artificial fragrance is added, and no chemical perfume treatment is used. Each mala carries its own natural character. Variations may appear in: • Wood grain • Color and tone • Resin markings • Surface texture • Fragrance intensity • Individual bead appearance These differences are natural and are not considered defects.
